Safeguarding the Environment

At EYH we are lucky to be within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have a responsibility to safeguard our environment and ask our berthholders, visitors and tenants to abide by our Environmental Code of Conduct, available here and displayed around the marina.

We also have a company Environmental Policy which sets out how we will work at achieving our environmental objectives. Recent efforts in this area include:

  • Installing timers and motion sensors for lighting in both sets of toilet and shower facilities on site.
  • Issuing recycling bags to new berthholders at our Welcome to New Berthholders events in order to support and encourage recycling within the marina.

Further information and ideas are available via the joint Royal Yachting Association/British Marine Federation intiative the Green Blue (www.thegreenblue.org.uk).
