What's
Happening at Emsworth Yacht Harbour
Updated
January 2010
January
2010: - Happy New Year to all our customers. What a
snowy start to the year, the marina has been full of ice and very quiet. The
Harbour Chandlery has now completed its move into what used to be part of the
old shipyard and Andrew Oliver, shipwright and Oliver Taylor, metal worker
are now successfully installed in two of the new workshop units. Jeremy
from Slipway Marine is now to be found in the front ground floor office,
directly below the Harbour Office and Karen Dorontic is now operating the
Emsworth School of Navigation from the middle ground floor office. New
signage is on order to help with finding everyone!
September
2009: - Wireless Internet Access goes live at EYH – first few weeks free. Broadband
onboard supplier oceanwave is now providing broadband internet access at
the marina. For information on how to access this please call into the
Harbour Office for a leaflet.
Saturday
11th July 2009: - the day of our annual Hog Roast. Unfortunately this year the rain caught up with
us and how! We were able to fit tables into the end of the workshop and
some under the marquee so some lucky customers stayed dry. The most stoical
sat outside and still seemed to enjoy themselves. We were entertained by
Graham Anthony the singer and Chris from Barbeque Chef performed his usual
wonders with the pig. An
array of gateaux, quiches and salads also seemed to go down well. Date for
your diaries: next year’s barbeque is July 3rd 2010!
